Coher Sense is a new optical sensor entering the market. Applications that previously failed or were limited by the high cost of the optical sensor technology used can now actively enter widespread use.
Typical applications are in the field of building structure monitoring, renewable energies (especially wind energy) as well as in the field of laser technology. Taking a current wind turbine as an example, the use of the sensor can save 5 to 10% of the cost of the turbine.
In addition, the complexity and thus the error susceptibility of the optical sensor technology is reduced. This saves maintenance costs for the sensor technology installed in the wind turbine. The same sensor simplifies quality assurance, development and monitoring of modern laser systems.
In real time, developers, machine operators and users can read out critical system parameters of the laser system. Complicated multi-stage measurement with various complicated devices is no longer necessary.
